You are NOT my Mother.

"You know, you could stay forever, if you want to. There's one tiny thing we have to so first..."

I've got a quick little post for you today! I'm from Long Island, so i'm trapped inside today, a "victim" of hurricane Sandy. So i though i would share with you two pairs of gloves that I finished recently. Both of them i found on Ravelery, which as my fellow yarn crafters know, is an amazing resource.

First, we have my new Coraline gloves:

The right glove right after i
finished knitting

All finished

Those of you that have seen Coraline might remember the scene where Coraline and her real mother go shopping for some school clothing, and Coraline is quite unhappy with the idea of dark, dull colored clothing that the store has, but as she wonders she finds the pair of gloves that these gloves are modeled after, and begs her mother for them. Anyone that hasn't seen Coraline should track down a copy because its an awesome movie!

You can find the pattern on the authors blog:

The second pair of gloves i love, largely because i am big on comics. When i found this pattern i knew i had to make it! It is a pair of fingerless gloves, that i chose to use sparkly grey yarn and black yarn for. The whole thing is done with intarsia knitting, for a cool look:

I found this pattern on Ravelry as well. They were fun to make, although i had to pay a lot of attention to my knitting as the pattern was mainly based on following the chart.

Heres the link to the Ravelry project page:

Until next time!
